The different types of reversing cameras for Land Rover
There are two main types of backup cameras, wireless and wired. The function of wireless cameras is to transmit video footage remotely. To do this, it uses "ISM" radio waves.
Its range, from the transmitter (camera) to the receiver (monitor) is in principle 10 meters, but it can vary according to the power sought.
As the performance is almost equivalent to wired (there is always a risk of interference), wireless is much easier to install, especially when its destination is in the rear of the vehicle.
Indeed, as its name suggests, no wiring, extension cords or coils are necessary; it also avoids the risk of damaging the wires. It is enough to connect the power supply of the camera to the circuit of the rear light and to connect the screen to the cigarette lighter (12 volts is enough).

It works the same way as a WIFI internet connection. Indeed, it makes it possible to visualize the image on the car radio.
How to install a reversing camera on a Land Rover model yourself?
The operation of the device requires the installation of 3 main components: camera, transmitter and screen.
1. Place the camera on the rear of Land Rover and insert the cable into one of the reversing lights.
2. Mount the transmitter to the rear of the vehicle and connect it to the lighting circuit (removing the headlight). Then connect it to the camera. What it does is transfer the image from the camera.
3. Connect the display receiver. Just use the supplied accessories to fix it somewhere in the passenger compartment. It is powered by connecting it to the cigarette lighter.
